Redmond

Redmond, home to Central Oregon’s closest airport, offers a wide range of conveniences. It’s also known for its proximity to Smith Rock (pictured left), infamous for having over 1,000 bolted routes for rock climbing.

Many choose to live in Redmond because of its slightly warmer and drier climate when compared to Bend. That, along with easy access to fishing, mountain biking, and rock climbing (to name a few outdoor amenities), makes it appealing to outdoor lovers with a slightly smaller feel than Bend.

If you crave close driving distance to Bend without sacrificing great shops and restaurants, all with a lower price tag, then add Redmond to your list of places to check out.

Living in Redmond

Redmond has a quiet suburban environment with a more conservative-leaning population. There are plenty of parks, coffee shops, and breweries to frequent, and the schools are rated above average.
